Huntsville Generator

Service Points

We use genuine Honda and other OEM replacement parts for all repairs, and quality aftermarket and OEM parts for maintenance such as Fram, AC Delco, and Shell Engine OIl.

Starting Battery : The number one cause of failure for generators with electric start. Should be replaced ever 6 to 12 months unless using a battery maintainer.

Oil & Oil Filter : Should be changed at least once per year, or every 100-200 hours of usage. Oil filters last longer and should be changed as needed.

Air Filters & Spark Plugs : Should be inspected regularly and replaced when required. Distributor cap and rotor are subject to corrosion.

Carburetor: The number one cause of failure for all gasoline-fueled generators. Leaving gasoline in a carburetor for longer than a few weeks causes a buildup of deposits causing hard starting and poor operation. Use a fuel stabilizer to prevent this, and follow the manufacturer's directions.

Dirt, Bugs, and Debris: We have seen very expensive standby generators ruined because of insect problems. Simple maintenance really does prevent costly repairs. A full cleaning is included with all service calls.
